Prior to entering the private practice of law,
Mr. Villarreal worked as a tax accountant for Arthur Andersen & Company
in Houston, Texas. He was an
Assistant Attorney General of Texas in the taxation division where he
handled all aspects of tax litigation. He also served with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Legal
Services Division from 1980 to 1983. Mr. Villarreal is a certified public
accountant. He was a faculty
member of San Antonio College where he taught business commercial law and
torts. He is certified by the
Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law. In addition to his experience in personal injury and commercial trial
work, Mr. Villarreal also handles labor and employment matters for employers and foreclosure, bankruptcy, commercial litigation
matters for creditors. He enjoys playing golf, running and exercising
at the gym.
